foreword

The game begins in a dream sequence. Examine the window and something will explode. Notice what it is. It will be a giant spider, poisonous gas or a swarm of locusts.

Your character will wake up. After a few dialogues, you're in control. Our character will not go anywhere without his backpack, so pick it up off the ground.

Right click and our character will start walking. Halfway he will stop and look at the horizon...

Looks like your nightmare is about to come true. You need to find a place to protect yourself from the threat and make sure that...

do not run away

Continue to the right. Eventually you will come across a cracked wall. It's going to take a long time to walk around, so we need to break through.

There are some sticks sticking out of the ground. Clicking on it will open the tutorial on how time works in this game. Pull out the stick.

With the bat here is a shed. Opening the shed reveals a sledgehammer head. Take it and open your inventory. Combine the staff and hammer head to create a hammer. Use the sledgehammer on the wall to knock them down.

Pro tip: if you use an element for something, you have to click it once for it to work. If you double-click to execute, stop using the item.

Climb through the hole and continue to the right. Your character will sink into the sand and say it's quicksand and you'll have to drop the sledgehammer. After dropping the sledgehammer, keep going right and you'll reach a large desert. Cross it, it takes 50 minutes in the game but you can't do anything else.

After the title sequence, you'll find yourself at the bottom of a small hill with a house perched on top.

Go up the hill and go to the front door. The front and back doors are locked to the house, but there is a window here. There's nothing we can do about it at the moment, so go to the back.

There is a greenhouse and a small water sprayer here. Keep going to the right and you will face a barn. Enter the barn and take the small pipe by the door. Interact with the haystack near the pipe a few times to reveal some holes in the water pipe. We will come back to these. Go back to the front of the house and use the small pipe by the window.

Upon entering, the main character will mention how safe the house looks and mention that they check the gas station.

This ends the prologue.

Day 1: Spiders

So you have spiders? Sorry arachnophobes out there.

Head towards the giant chest. Here is a broken hammer. Grab it and go straight to the kitchen. There is something shiny on the right side of the kitchen. Pick it up and you'll find they're your house keys. Get out of the house by unlocking the door or going out the window.

Go down the hill and turn left. Go to the destroyed bridge. On the bridge, click on the shovel on the back of the truck. They'll break the grip, but that's still good for us. Repair the hammer in your inventory by combining the handle and the broken hammer. After that, cross the gorge and head towards the gas station.

Enter the door on the right. Immediately regret this decision, because there is a spider here. Luckily she didn't notice you... There are some things in this room that you need, but you can't get them until the spider disappears. Exit the room and go around the back to the tanker. Here is a small rock. Take it and go back to the front of the gas station, this time on the left.

Here's a bunch of plates. Use the stone on the slabs and it will make a loud noise. Your character will automatically exit once the spider enters. Go back to the right side of the gas station. Pick up the gas can, hunting rifle, and money lying around on the ground. Click on the jewelry display next to the tree trunk to find a lighter. Use your hammer with the crowbar on the cash register to get it. There is a sack of coal next to the petrol can, but it is too heavy. We'll come back to that.

After finding everything useful here, exit the shop. The spider will be waiting for you here, but use the hunting rifle to shoot it. Enter the left side of the shop again and take two iron bars. You need three, but we can't accommodate that many. Get out and go back to your house.

Now that we have some items, it's time to use them. Go to the storage chest and put the iron bars, lighter, money, short barrel and rifle inside. Go to the back of your house where the greenhouse is. Use the crowbar on the greenhouse 4 times to get 4 sets of nails and 4 sets of planks. Gather all the nails and boards and head back inside.

Store 3 sets of nails and all boards in the storage chest. It's time to go again. Make sure you have your house keys, a crowbar, a hammer, a handful of nails and a gas can with you. Go down the hill and this time go right towards the roadblock.

Some poor souls are here. Don't worry, prepare well and you won't join them. Examine the two corpses. A corpse will have a bite mark. It's random, but remember the pattern. You can come back here to check if you forgot. The other corpse will have a note referring to a giant spider repellent. How interesting!

There's a red wrench on the ground, so pick it up and examine the car. It turns out that the ignition coil is still usable, so remove it with the key. We're done here, so click on the top right corner of the screen to go to a car crash.

There is a pest control truck here. Open the back with the crowbar and go inside. Take the two bear traps. Open all the lockers here by using the crowbar on the locked one. Take the masking tape from the second cabinet and the yellow sticky note from the fourth, then right click on the sticky note in your inventory.

Time to put your brain to work. There are many illustrations here. Do you remember the previous bite mark? Match the bite mark to the spider illustration, then get the correct repellent ID number from the first locker.

Go back to the bridge and use the hammer on the stack of boards near the truck. This will build a footbridge, meaning you won't have to cross the gorge and lose time. Use the key on the truck to remove a wheel and go to the gas station. Go to the back and use the gas can on the valves of the truck and then use the wrench on the same valves. You will receive a full can of gasoline. Go back to the house.

Go to the front door and set up two bear traps from your inventory. Go to the barn and use tape on the hole in the pipe you found earlier. Fill the generator, examine it and change the setting to "Water Pump" and turn it on. Attach the spider repellent to the pesticide inlet. Examine the pump itself.

You need to select "Night Mist Spray Irrigation" and then turn on all the lights in the "Active Sprinklers" section. The easiest way to do this is shown above. Just click once on the four middle buttons.

Examine the truck; It needs an ignition coil and a wheel that you have. fix the car The car has limited use in the spider scenario as the bridge is not fully built. We'll come back to that later. Use the storage box again to store the hammer, crowbar, and duct tape. Go back to the gas station.

Now let's loot the rest of the gas station. Fill up another gas can and grab the last iron bars on the left side of the gas station. Also take two window nets with you. When you get back home, fill up the car with the gas can and clear away the iron bars and window screens.

Go back to the gas station one last time. Fill the gas canister again, take the last net out of the window and the bag of charcoal. Leave the plastic wrap; it's totally useless.

Time to strengthen this place. Don't worry about the chimney, it's clogged and there's nothing you can do about it. Use the iron bars on the windows in the house. There is one window on the ground floor and two on the first floor. The bars will be hanging there, so use the hammer if you have a handful of nails in your inventory to drive them into the window.

And it has to be. You should have about 3 hours and have everything needed done. They even built the walkway across the gorge and fixed your car.

Time to put your brain to work. Remember that weather drone you got earlier? Also examine it by right-clicking.

Note the pH. The pH value corresponds to the note. For example, in my playthrough here, I have a pH of 2. We need to match the grade to the pH of the weather drone. From the note we can see that A + B gives a pH of 0 – 2. Fill the chemical flask with chemical A and chemical B. We will use the density value later.

Here is a post with a release clamp mechanism. Use the short pipe on the release clamp mechanism, then click the short pipe, then click the rope. The flag and a rope fall to the ground. Take the rope and the flag.

Examine the window above the back door and try to move the green trash can. It's too hard for you, so ask Cate for help. Now you can go through the window to the kitchen.

There are many useful things here and you must get them all. In front of David is a portable air conditioner. Behind him is a white shelf with a tin can. Here are some kitchen drawers; One is locked, so break it open with a crowbar to find a kitchen knife. There is a freezer next to the cupboards. When you open it you have three heat-absorbing panels made of Sidereal Plexus. Interesting… Finally, open the fridge next to the freezer with the crowbar and get two bottles of water. That's all here, so exit the kitchen through the door on the right.

You will surprise Cody. He's asking for food, so use the knife you found in the tin and give it to him. He will join you and follow you. That's all for the restaurant, so get in the car and drive to the run-down house.

(Video) Don't Escape: 4 Days To Survive True Ending Full Gameplay Walkthrough (No Commentary)

There's one more survivor here. His name is Barri. Talking to him reveals that he has lost his wife and with it his will to live. Attempting to enter his home will result in him letting you out. Talk to Cate and let her distract you. Now you can enter the house.

Barry's wife's body lies in the middle of the room. Examine the corpse and you will find a medallion. Examine the locket in your inventory. It turns out that Barry's wife left some last words for him. Go and give him the locket.

After a very tense moment, you can offer to bury Barry's wife. Barry opens the garage door next to him and you have to bury Maggie. Get the shovel from the garage and re-enter the house.

Take the sheet off the couch and use it on Maggie. Click on it to move backwards. Use the shovel on the ground to dig a pit. Go back to Barry and tell him about the funeral. After that, Barry is recruited.

Note: If you don't recruit Barry, he will die at the end of the day. When you return to the ruined house you can get his key and unlock the garage to get the shovel that way.

Go back into the house. Take the fan and go. Talk to Barry again. There is a dialogue option where he can look at the car and make it use less fuel. Do that and drive the car to the roadblock.

There are some new tire brands here. Examine them and drive the car to the new location indicated on the map. a short film.

Enter the RV and click on the front seat to examine the RV's usability. It can't move, but it can turn on and provide power. There are two bottles of water on the table. Take them and open the first aid kit, also on the table. Inside is a bandage and a thermal blanket. Exit the trailer.

Use the petrol cans on the camper to fill it up. Use the screwdriver on the fan to secure the fan. Use the wrench on the hook on the back of the camper to remove it. Combine the hook and rope to create a hook... sort of. Use it on the rock formation on the right side of the screen. Use the thermal blanket in the cave.

  • The propane tank and hose are useless

When you're sure you're ready, press the clock button at the top.

Go to the car in the barn and put the gas can in the cargo crate. Get in the car and drive to the broken bridge. Build the bridge if you haven't already and head to the restaurant. Enter the restaurant.

Turns out there's another survivor here. A boy named Cody. He's trying to get into the kitchen and he's pretty excited. You can talk to him about a few things. Exit the restaurant and go to the back by clicking on the side of the building.

Here is a post with a release clamp mechanism. Use the short pipe on the release clamp mechanism, then click the short pipe, then click the rope. The flag and a rope fall to the ground. take both

Examine the window above the back door and try to move the green trash can. It's too hard for you, so ask Cate for help. Now you can go through the window to the kitchen.

There are many useful things here and you must get them all. In front of David is an empty gas oven.

Use the key on the propane tank and get it. Go back into the house. Get the electric heater and the blanket off the sofa. Open the closet and take the coats and go. Talk to Barry again. There is a dialogue option where he can look at the car and make it use less fuel. Do that and drive the car to the roadblock.

There are some new tire brands here. Examine them and drive the car to the new location indicated on the map. a short film.

Enter the trailer. There are a few things here and we're going to need them all. If you run out of space or weight, put items in the car's cargo box. Take the green blanket and water bottles. Open the two closets above the table and take the jackets inside. Open the first aid kit. Inside is a bandage and a thermal blanket. Exit the trailer.

Use the wrench on the hook on the back of the camper to remove it. Combine the hook and rope to create a hook... sort of.

Go back home and use the gas can on the generator. Change the setting to "Home" and launch it. Go back to the kitchen of the house. Open the furnace and go into the room on the left. Use the screwdriver to secure the electric heater and plug it into the extension cord sockets. Combine the propane tank with the gas heater and drop it.

Replace all the barricades above the windows with the green and blue flags and blankets and glue them to the window. Go to the attic and place the thermal blanket over the skylight.

Go out to the roof by opening the hatch in the attic and going left. Use the hook on the chimney to unclog it. Go back inside and close the hatch and head back into the room with the storage chest.

Note: If you bought Gas Day 1, use the towels on the doors to keep out the cold.

And that's it. You have about 6 hours left. You can refuel the gas can and car if you want.

Checklist for the perfect night:

  • you are inside
  • You are in the room with the fireplace.
  • The generator works and supplies the house with electricity.

When you're sure you're ready, press the clock button at the top.

If you followed everything correctly, you should avoid the cold and gain another 5 kg in weight by perfecting the day.

Day 3: Bandits

An attack from some thugs, huh?

After some dialogue about going to the Sidereal Plexus, you'll be given control of David again. Take the hook and rope once you've used them in the cave. Go home if you're not there yet. Remove all barricades. Go to the chest and make sure you have the following.

  • petrol can (full)
  • crowbar
  • Key
  • house key
  • Iron Ingot (1) (Only if you have some, i.e. you didn't have spiders on day 1)
  • Hammer (Only if you have bars)
  • Fistful of Nails (1) (Only if you have bars)
  • Bottled water (all, if you don't have a water bottle that's fine).
  • Optional: hunting rifle

Use the iron bars on the downstairs window and hammer them into the window with nails. Put the hammer back on the chest.

Return to the car and go to the Sidereal Plexus office.

The whole city is a ghost town. Head towards the building and climb the sand dune. After reaching the top of the building, go right to the building.

Suddenly one of the letters falls down and breaks the glass. Cody and Barry are hanging from a four-story drop. You can only save one. To unlock Awakening mode and unlock the best ending, save Cody.

After the experience, talk to Cody and go inside. Go straight through the door and down the stairs. Go left through the open door. Examine the corpse for an ID card and right click on the ID card in your inventory to get a key. Go back to the right and open the locked door with a key.

Here's a generator. Clicking on it will open a small mini-game where you have to start using electricity by making sure that pin A and pin B have the right voltage. Below is a solution.

(Video) Don't Escape : 4 Days in a Wasteland - Normal Ending & True Ending

After turning on the power, go back into the room on the left. There's a silencer on the ground here, so pick it up. Use the lighted computer. Feel free to read all of these, but the main ones are:

  • Visit… (go to page 3)
  • Hunt… (download map)
  • PINS (go to page 2)
  • Escape (Download the map)

Once you have everything, go back to the generator and reconnect the generator so pin A uses 15V and pin B uses 40V. A solution is below.

After that, go down the stairs. Open the elevator on the right and use a wrench on the fire hose box. Click on the fire hose and then on the elevator to place the fire hose in the elevator shaft. Click on the opening near the left side of the screen and talk to Cody to unlock the door. Enter the room and take the shiny thing to get a floppy disk.

Go down the fire hose and keep going left. Barry is still alive, but barely. After a few last words, he will die. Keep going right until you reach a blocked passageway and a door. Open the door and you can reunite with Cate. If you like, you can ask her about her involvement in the Sidereal Plexus. You can also return to Barry's body and create a small tomb for him, which will unlock an achievement.

When you're done, get in the car and drive to the gas station. You can hear some muffled speech. Enter the left side of the gas station and look out the window. There will be a small scene where the bandits are talking to a military man. They go. Go outside and talk to the guy. He will point his gun at you, but will lower it after a while. This is Sgt. He leads a small team that has teamed up with the bad guys to survive. It seems he doesn't like Razor and his gang very much, but he has no choice.

Talk to him about anything you can. So say goodbye. He seems to be struggling with the truck's valves, so use the wrench to help him out. talk to him again Three more options open. First talk to him about the moon and the ship. Finally, after these two options, select “Help”. You have to answer some dialogue options correctly. You can try multiple times.

what do i choose

  • Help.
  • you were a soldier
  • Time to rethink your life.
  • you should go
  • You don't like working for Razor.

Say goodbye to him. Sarge leaves and promises to speak to his men. Get back in the car and go to the restaurant. Enter and go left into the bathroom. Open the next supply and get the Cooking Oil. Go out and to the hunting lodge.

Enter the barracks and click on the scratches next to the couch. Difficult to see, so here's a picture.

Don't Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland - Complete Walkthrough (True Ending) (14)

After clicking on the scratches you can click on the couch to move it, revealing a floor vault. Organized. Use the key at the top of the wall to open it. Inside the safe are three things, a pistol, rifle ammo, and pistol ammo. Go to the door on the right. take everything here; Whisky, scopes and all bear traps.

Exit the chalet and go to the back. Collect all bear traps. An animal carcass could be stuck in one, so you have to clean it up.

Note: If you got spiders on the first day, you will find fewer bear traps here. You can reuse bear traps at home by using the crowbar on them.

Get back in the car and drive to the construction site.

On the construction site, click on the right side of the blue fence to go to the construction lot. There is a hole in the fence on the right, but the path is guarded. Examine the corpse for a larva. Use the larva on the shelf to the left of the guard. Wait for him to get distracted, then run to the hole in the fence and go inside.

They are in the back of the camp. There are some ammo boxes and some food supplies. Use cooking oil and/or water for ammo. Use whiskey for food supplies.

Note: If you got spiders on Day 1, you can find some Iron Ingots here. Choose a. You will need it to defend yourself.

Go through the hole and past the guard checking his magazine and head back to the car. Drive to the gas station to refuel and return home.

time to protect us. Take your hunting rifle and combine it with silencer and scope. Go to the front of your house and drop all of the bear traps on the front door. Enter your house and close and lock the doors.

Make sure the downstairs window has iron bars and is nailed to the window. Go to the attic and exit the roof.

And that's it. You are ready to defend yourself. Make sure you arm the rifle, load it, and have an extra box of rifle ammo in your inventory before you call it a day.

Checklist for the perfect night:

  • you are on the roof
  • The doors are closed and locked
  • The shotgun has a silencer and scope and is loaded.
  • You have an extra box of rifle ammo with you.
  • The downstairs window has iron bars on the window and nailed to it.
  • All bear traps are scattered around the house
  • Bandit Food Stock has whiskey on the side and is not poisoned
  • Bandit's ammo supply has been tampered with with oil and/or water
  • You argued peacefully with Sarge

Extras:

  • All documents found in the Sidereal Plexus office are for knowledge purposes only.
  • You can kill sarge or poison the food. These are considered "bad ends" and will not give you the perfect night.
  • You can also kill the guard next to the construction site. Simple, use the silenced rifle on him when he's distracted. You can still have the perfect night out with or without this.

When you're sure you're ready, press the clock button at the top.

If you did everything right, you should have killed all the baddies and gained another 5kg weight bonus due to the improvement of the day.

Day 3: Storm

A burning acid storm, huh?

After some dialogue about going to the Sidereal Plexus, you'll be given control of David again. Once on the trailer, grab the extension, hook, and rope. Go home if you're not there yet. Remove all barricades. Grab the extension cord if you haven't started the trailer. Go to the chest and make sure you have the following.

  • petrol can (full)
  • Pa
  • Key
  • Pavement
  • house key
  • extension cable

Return to the car and go to the Sidereal Plexus office.

When you're done, get in the car and drive to the restaurant. Turns out some military guys have taken over and some guns are on you. you have to go with them Eventually they put down their guns and you can talk to the leader, Sarge. Talk to him about everything. They will learn that they need bandages and something to disinfect their wounds, and that one of the soldiers has something that will help him survive the approaching storm. You will also learn about a construction site that we will visit shortly.

You still can't get their help, so get back in the car and head to the Hunter's Lodge in the middle of the map. Enter the barracks and click on the scratches next to the couch. Difficult to see, so here's a picture.

Don't Escape: 4 Days in a Wasteland - Complete Walkthrough (True Ending) (17)

After clicking on the scratches you can click on the couch to move it, revealing a floor vault. Organized. Use the key at the top of the wall to open it. Inside the safe are three things, a pistol, rifle ammo, and pistol ammo. Go to the door on the right. take everything here; the broom, the whiskey and all the wooden boards. Plug the extension cord into the outlet and move the outlets away from the broken window.

Go outside again and use the broom on the roof of the inn (bright spot). They will reveal some solar panels. Get back in the car and drive to the restaurant again.

Go inside and give the wounded man the bandage and whiskey. Exit the inside and go to the back and talk to the soldier here. Talk to him about surviving the storm and then talk about the "things to survive the storm". He will give you three storm catchers. You have to line them up and feed them in a triangle shape around their base. Mention the giant hamburger pestle. He will tell you to ask Sarge for help. go back inside

Talk to Sarge and ask if his team can install the storm catcher. He will agree, but you will have to trade something in return. A gun and some ammo. Give him the pistol and pistol ammo, and then the Storm Catcher. He will mention that he and his team will do this, reminding you that you have two more to feed. Return to the car and head to the construction site.

On the construction site, click on the right side of the blue fence to go to the construction lot. There's a hole in the fence to the right, so crawl through it. There is a generator and crane here and a large pile of bricks on a large spool of wire that we need. Fill up the generator and switch it on before you climb onto the crane.

On top of the crane, use the controller. Move the crane up, left, open the hook, down, close the hook and go up. When executed correctly, the pile of bricks is lifted, which can be seen from the slowly rising crane hook. Lower the crane and turn off the generator. Take the spool of wire. Now climb back onto the crane.

There is a cable box on the left side of the crane room. Open it up and use Storm Catcher on it. Go downstairs and turn the generator back on. That's the second catcher ready to go. Go to the front of the construction site where you can see a large green tarp. Take it and go back to the car. S

Stop at gas station to refuel car and gas can.

Drive to the accommodation. Go back and grab the extension cord and use it on the tree. Use the extension cord to climb the tree. Use the last storm catcher on the extension cord sockets. If you did everything right, it will start glowing green.

Time to strengthen this place. Go to the front of the house (near the dead tree, not the front door) and use the shovel on the ground on the left. You will dig some trenches. Now go inside and lock the doors. Take a hammer and two sets of nails, some duct tape and a flag/blanket/thermal blanket from the chest. Nail two boards to the windows and glue the last one. Go to the attic.

Place the flag/blanket/thermal blanket in the hatch if you don't already have something there. Go to the roof and go left. Use the tarp on the chopper and then glue the tarp to completely seal the hole. Use the spool of wire on the chimney to craft a makeshift lightning rod. Go back inside and close the hatch.

Note: if you have Gas Day 1 you can use the towels on the doors to keep water out.

And that's it. You have about 4 hours left. You can refuel the gas can and car if you want.

Checklist for the perfect night:

  • you are inside
  • The doors are closed and locked
  • The hatch on the roof is closed
  • All windows were boarded up and securely fastened to the window.
  • The trenches outside were dug
  • The tarpaulin is over the helicopter and has been glued
  • Copper wire lightning rod installed in the chimney
  • All storm collectors are in place and powered

Extras:

  • All documents found in the Sidereal Plexus office are for knowledge purposes only.

When you're sure you're ready, press the clock button at the top.

If you did everything right you should have avoided all the rain (although the house isn't very good) and got another 5kg weight bonus due to the day's improvement.

Author's Note: Due to the character limit in the sections of the guide, I had to split the Day 3 storm into two sections.

(Video) Don't Escape 4 days to survive 100% walkthrough true ending

Day 4: Air or Fuel

Author's Note: Due to the very slight difference on the 4th compared to the other days, I will write that day in a section and cover the minor changes in notes like this one.

So... is the world ending?

Damned…

(Side note: watch Edgar Wright's "The World's End")

Note: if you have bandits, spare or kill Razor, it has a small change in the end when you spare.

If you have bandits, there will be a crashed motorcycle to your right after making your choice. During the examination you will be given some protective gloves. If you have Thunderstorm, we'll get the gloves later.

Go to the chest and get the following items.

  • petrol can (full)
  • crowbar
  • hook and rope
  • screwdriver
  • Pa
  • kitchenknife
  • identification badge
  • The disk you received from Sidereal Plexus
  • protective gloves (if available)

Go to the car and the spaceship outpost. A dialog box asks if you want to stop. Click No. Enter the outpost and step onto the blue doormat. Quickly use the ID on the door and enter the building.

Interact with the fuse box for another mini-game. You must disable the doormat and activate the elevator without running electricity through any of the broken wires. A solution is below if you are interested.

Head down the elevator and enter the first door and take the chemical formula, access card, and remote control. Use the screwdriver on the remote control to get batteries. Go left where you can see the spaceship. Use the red access card on the card scanner and enter the room.

Control room diagram

Enter the control room below you. Examine the underside of the mainframe computer next to you for a duplexer. Examine the hatch controls to open the hatch. Go to the diagnostics screen and see if you need fuel or air. This changes what items you get and what you need to repair.

Examine the Fuel/Air Comp monitor to start another mini-game in which you have to raise all the bars to the green line. This is very easy to do. Keep clicking the + icon to fill each bar green and move to the next one. It shouldn't take long.

Go back to the elevator and use the screwdriver on the motor to get a drive belt. Go outside and climb the shiny thing on top of the building. Use the screwdriver on the shiny thing and use a duplexer on the hole. Take the floor panel and go back to the elevator.

Enter the control room and look at the radar screen. Looks like there's a crashed plane around here. Continue down to the launch ramp and attach the drive belt to the elevator motor. Click the up button and enter the ship.

Go to the back of the ship and open the tool box. Take the glue gun inside. Combine the batteries with the glue gun. That's all we have to do for now, so get off the ship and head back to the car.

Time to investigate the crashed bus. Get on the bus and get the key from the back of the bus. Examine the stain on the window near the key and use the glue gun on it. After that, use the knife on the window glue to get a fingerprint. Get out and drive the car to the crashed plane.

There is a lot of sand in front of the plane. Use the shovel to clear it and get on the plane. Go to the front of the plane, go right and examine the corpse. Cody can interrupt you sometimes. You will receive a cargo list. Examine the manifest.

what should i get

In the fuel scenario you need to replace a nav chip, so use the crowbar on the nav chip box and get a nav chip.

In the air scenario you need to replace the air tanks, so use the crowbar on the air tank box and pick it up.

We're done here.

If you got thunderstorms on day 3, the gloves are on the restaurant floor, so now go there and pick them up.

Go to the construction site and enter through the front entrance. Use the gloves on the scaffolding and climb up. Attach your rope and hook to the buckle and head down so you can grab a soldering kit. Climb up the rope and use the gloves on the scaffolding again to come down. Go back to the car and go to the Sidereal Office again.

Approach the building and this time click on the far right. You go around the sand dune to the door you opened earlier. Go right until you reach Lab 13. Open it with the key you found.

It looks like a normal laboratory. Grab the vials of liquid on the top shelf in front of you and on the table to the right. Place them in the chemical mixer on the left and examine it.

What should I mix?

Earlier you took a piece of paper with a chemical formula on it. These could be pills so you use less air or a fuel catalyst to make the fuel more reactive.

In the fuel scenario, use this formula to make the catalyst and put it in the bottle.

In the air scenario, use this formula to make the powder and put it in pill capsules.

When in the air scenario, give the pills to Cate and Cody.

Get back in the car and drive to the spaceship. It's time to blow up that popsicle truck!

Take the elevator and use the fingerprint on the second door. Grab both items here and enter your inventory. If you're in the fuel scene, drop the LiOH filter. When you are in an aerial landscape, let go of the caliper.

Time to fix the spaceship!

How to repair a spaceship?

In the fuel scenario:

  • Place the catalyst on the machine next to the elevator.
  • On the outside of the ship is a dangerous crack in its fin. Plug the welding set into the elevator socket and put the metal plate into the crack.
  • Place the navigation chip in the red light on the top floor of the ship
  • Set the engine gauge to the red light on the bottom floor of the ship.

In the flight scenario:

  • Place the LiOH filter in the red light on the top floor of the spaceship
  • Place the air tanks on the red light in the ship's basement.
  • On the lower level there is a dangerous crack in the ship's walls. Insert the soldering set into the socket inside the jar and place the metal plate in the gap. After that, get the soldering kit.

Finally, the last thing you have to do is throw everything you have on the floor at the bottom of the elevator. You can only take 1 kg stuff with you. You must take any floppy disks you find with you. Grab everything else at your leisure.

And you are good! Enter the spaceship and examine the launch controls on top of the ship when ready to launch.

Perfect Launch Checklist:

  • You opened the hatch
  • You repaired the crack by soldering it
  • Fuel mixture or air trim is perfect (green)
  • You have repaired all missing systems
  • Fuel Only: You added the catalyst and the formula is correct
  • Just air: you gave Cate and Cody the pills and the formula is correct. They also stocked up on pills when they first started

Extras:

  • You can cut off the finger of the dead man in the Sidereal Plexus office with the kitchen knife and use it instead of the glue gun.
  • The other cargo crates seem to contain useless items.

If you followed everything correctly, you should reach the moon without any problems.

Epilogue

you are on the moon That's right!

If you don't perfect Day 4, Cate will die here, stabbed in the chest with a metal rod.

Talk to Cate and Cody and open the door at the back of the ship to reveal some spacesuits. Take her and leave the ship. Go to the base of the moon. There is a chamber extinguishing mini-game here. It's very easy. Simply rotate the outer ring until the row matches, then repeat with the next ring until all rows are connected.

After entering the base of the moon, go left. There's a lot of spoiler stuff here that I won't go into. Take the black card and go right until you reach a large table with a card reader. Scan the card reader and examine the screen that lights up. Click on "Do It" and go back to the left.

Examine the diagnostic console here. More spoiler talk.

Now for the moment of truth. If you have a floppy disk, insert it into the console now. This is important to open a path to the true ending.

Talk to Cody and Kate. For each of them there is a new dialogue option. Click.

Now enter one of the pods yourself. The lights will go out! Fast! Run back to the control room on the right. Examine the screen again and redirect the energy. Run back and click on the open capsule. Click Yes.

And there it is. You finished Don't Escape 4 with an "Ok" ending. To get the true ending you need to start a new game in Awakening mode. Check the section for more information..

Awakening Mode and True End

Note: This entire section is a spoiler. Do not read this section until you have completed the game once.

Awakening mode is activated once you complete the game once and insert a disk into the Sleeper Pod's console before entering it.

The Awakening mode is very similar to the normal game. Most of the changes are a few more lines of dialogue.

To reach the true ending, you must recruit Barry and Cody and keep everyone alive to the end.

This is possible on the 3rd. After the dream, stairs will appear. If you go upstairs you can talk to Maggie, Barry's late wife. She will tell you to keep Barry waiting when you go to the Sidereal Plexus Office and ask you to tell him she loves him.

From here it's very easy. Go to the Sidereal Office and talk to Barry. Tell him his wife loves him and tell him to wait in the car. Complete the office normally. The glass will still break, but you can just pull Cody up. Make sure you get the other disk from Cody. Continue as usual until you reach the part where you are reunited with Kate. Barry will be there too.

What you should do after that is climb back on the fire hose, place it in the elevator shaft and examine the pipe in the other door. It's too heavy to move, but you can ask Barry for help moving it. The disk is on the floor.

From here, it's an easy process to perfect Day 3 and Day 4. Follow the guides above and be sure to give Barry pills when performing the Day 4 air scenario.

Go through the epilogue, insert the two disks into the console, and go to sleep. enjoy your ending
